There are so many benefits that come from Yoga.  It has changed my entire life!  Some of the benefits I have received are: stress reduction, hypertension (high blood pressure) control, weight loss, strength, flexibility, better circulation, cardiovascular endurance, internal organ function improvement, pain relief, increased immunity, improved posture, deeper sleep, balance, awareness of mind and body, self love and acceptance, cognitive function, concentration, and dexterity.  Yoga is an integrated practice of body mind and spirit! 

New to Yoga?  New to classes?  Please bring your body and an open mind! The body is an amazing machine that provides its own weight and counter weight.  Please bring a Yoga mat or a towel to practice on.  Wear comfortable clothing that you can freely move in.  Shoes and socks are taken off while practicing.  Yoga is great for the feet too!

All classes are all levels, please let me know of any injuries or limitations that you have to make the most out of your experience.  You will be taught how to safely do the asanas (physical yoga postures), using props if necessary for support. Each class ends with a blissful relaxation posture called Savasana (the corpse pose, dead while alive)  where you can relax and absorb your practice. No effort or progress that you ever put forth is ever lost! Be in the moment, You are the Whole!

In my experience, I've worked with many students who have limitations or injuries.  If you're not sure about which class to attend, feel free to contact me (Nicole) and I'll be glad to make suggestions. If you're pregnant, please let me know when you start class and make sure it's ok with your physician.  I have been lucky and been able to work with students who've had joint replacement, paralysis, MS, arthritis, PTSD, cancer, abuse and many other issues.  The great news is anyone can do Yoga.  Yoga will help you with all those things.  All you have to do is show up with your body! Please wear comfortable clothing that you can easily move around in. We do Yoga in bare feet, as a healthy foundation in the feet leads to better alignment in the body.
