Nicole Soteropoulos Yoga Teacher, Student, and Light Seeker

Nicole Soteropoulos is a compassionate and challenging teacher.  She came to yoga to cope with physical injuries and pain but what she found was a rich tradition steeped in love.  Yoga focuses on the body, mind and spirit as a whole.  Nicole embraces both her current and past physical challenges to allow her to have a profound understanding of pain and a deep compassion for her students. 
Nicole earned a 200 level Yoga teacher training certification from Ana Forrest in November of 2006.  She has taught at Yoga East, Orbis, Full Moon Yoga, South Louisville Community Center, Norton's Hospital, Greater Louisville YMCA and at many corporate locations in the Louisville, KY area.  Additionally, Nicole has taught workshops in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos, British West Indies. She has also had the privilege of volunteering at an inpatient facility for women in recovery and teaching yoga to children.  Nicole enjoys working with all populations of people and especially excels working with individuals that have injuries and beginning students. 

Nicole‚Äôs Yoga background includes Iyengar inspired Hatha, Ashtanga, Yin, Restorative, and Pranayama (the yogic art of breathing).  Nicole has attended intermediate workshops and continuing education events with David Swenson, Doug Keller, Francois Raoult, Darren Rhodes, and Ellen Heed.  She continues to deepen her eight limbed path of yoga through studying under her teacher Ramanand Patel and the teachings of Vedanta through the teachings of her spiritual teacher, Swami Dayananda Saraswati.  Her current area of study is Nada Yoga (Yoga and Sound) and thanks Mukesh Desai for his angelic voice. 

Nicole also holds a BA in Psychology from USF and a BA in Liberal Arts from The University of Kentucky
